CROMWELL, CT — A sushi restaurant that has been serving customers in Cromwell and Middletown for about a decade has closed.

There was no closure sign posted outside Kuyi Sushi at the Crossroads Plaza in Cromwell Monday, but a customer said the place was dark and deserted just before dinnertime.

The restaurant's Facebook page said the place was open, but there hadn't been a fresh social media post in three years.

Attempts to call the restaurant were met with disconnections.

The restaurant had been located at 34 Shunpike Road next to a laundromat. The Charter Realty website lists the 3,060-square-foot spot in the plaza as available with a "full kitchen."
