Two Injured In 3-Vehicle Collision Involving Oil Truck In Middletown
An oil truck collided with an SUV and a pickup before overturning and spilling a large amount of home heating oil, according to police.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A collision between an oil truck and two other vehicles Tuesday morning resulted in leakage of a large amount of home heating oil onto the roadway, according to police.
The collision occurred around 9:59 a.m. on Washington Street at the intersection of Middletown Plaza. Investigation revealed an eastbound 2005 Kenworth oil truck swerved suddenly and struck a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The truck overturned but continued eastbound, striking a trailer attached to a 2023 Dodge Ram 3500, police said.
The operators of the oil truck and the Rogue were both treated for non-life threatening injuries at Middlesex Hospital. The operator of the Ram was not injured, police said.
