MIDDLETOWN, CT - In a showcase of young talent, Middletown Public Schools' most ambitious artistic voices will transform Wesleyan University's prestigious Zilkha Gallery into an explosion of creativity this month.
The 44th annual K-12 Art Show features more than 600 pieces that push the boundaries of imagination, creativity, and artistic skill..
This exhibition, drawing thousands of art enthusiasts each year, represents every corner of Middletown's 10 public schools. Visitors will view artistic pieces from kindergartener’s colorful experiments to sophisticated works that rival professional galleries. Each piece tells a unique story of discovery, challenge, and triumph.

For 44 years, the exhibition has served as a powerful declaration that art education isn't just a subject – it's a vital force shaping our community's future. The collaboration between the Middletown Board of Education, Middletown Public Schools Cultural Council, and Wesleyan University's Center for the Arts continues to break new ground in supporting young artists.
An opening reception is scheduled for March 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wesleyan's Ezra and Cecile Zilkha Gallery, 283 Washington Terrace.
