2 Milford Police Officers Commended For "Life Saving" Measures
Board of Police Commissioners commended officers at their most recent meeting for officers outstanding efforts to save a life on call.

MILFORD, CT - Two Milford police officers were commended at a recent Board of Police Commissioners meeting for possibly saving the life of a person on a call they responded to.
According to the minutes of the Board of Police Commissioner meeting, here is what happened when Officers Matthew Mallow and Christopher Park responded to the call."
On 3/10/18 a call was received from an out-of-state family member reporting a sibling who resided in Milford had inflicted harmed to themselves. Officers were dispatched to victim’s home and were able to secure a spare key and entered the victim’s residence where they found him in serious condition.

"Officer Mello immediately applied tourniquet to wounded area and applied pressure to the wound. Both officers continued emergency first aid measures until EMT arrived.
"It was later learned that if both officers had not intervened and provided life saving measures to the individual, the outcome would have been tragic. "
