39th Annual Sand Sculpting Contest Coming To Milford

Milford, CT - Beach goers and artists, get ready.

The 39th Annual Sand Sculpture Competition is returning to Milford on July 30.

Residents and non residents are invited to take part in the family-friendly event, which "draws over 50 sand sculptors and hundreds of spectators each year," The Milford Arts Council said in a release on its website.

The free event is sponsored by the Milford Arts Council and Milford Bank.

Here are the details on the competition from the Milford Arts Council:

• Parking for nonresidents is $5
• Registration 12- 1 p.m.
• Sand sculpting 12 – 4:30 p.m.
• Judging at 4:30 p.m.
