Administrative Assistant for Mayor's Office Chosen as Employee of the Month

Linda Michel was selected as August 2015's Mayor's Employee of the Month.

After a review of all of the nominations, the Selection Committee unanimously chose Linda Michel as the winner of the Mayor’s Employee of the Month Program for her dedicated service to the City, professional and positive attitude and her ability to calmly handle all the various situations she is faced with on a daily basis, according to a press release.

“Linda attends to each task she performs with precision and professionalism,” a press release from the City of Milford says. “She eagerly responds to all requests from residents and co-workers. No job is too small or too big for Linda to tackle. Linda’s ability to accommodate, even when it is not easy to do so, is a testament to the reverence she holds for the Office of the Mayor. Her personal pride in her work is evident on a daily basis.”

Linda began her career with the City of Milford on Dec. 21, 1989, and she has since worked in the Office of the Mayor. Initially hired as a Secretary, Linda was ultimately promoted to her current position of Administrative Assistant. Linda has remained steadfast through three Mayoral administrations, according to a press release. She is intimately familiar with each city department, having worked in the hub of the city

“Linda can be counted on to deal with each situation with grace, diplomacy and, very often, humor,” the press release says. “Her healthy perspective on what is truly important is inspirational. These are just a few of the many reasons the Mayor extends his sincere congratulations and appreciation to Linda for the outstanding attributes she exhibits as Employees of the Month.”
