Motorcyclist Crashes Into Car, Gets Trapped Under Vehicle: Milford PD

The man went through a red light and crashed his motorcycle into a car coming off the exit ramp on I-95, police said.

MILFORD, CT – A New Haven man has been charged in connection to the street takeover that drove through Milford on July 8, police said.

At around 7 p.m. on July 8, a street takeover with about 300 dirt bikes, ATVs, and motorcycles drove through Milford, causing many traffic delays and violations, police said.

A motorcyclist, identified as Jonathan Delgado, 40, of New Haven, went through a red light and crashed into a car coming off the exit ramp on I-95 while traveling west on Boston Post Road, police said.

The motorcycle got trapped under the vehicle, and other participants of the street takeover surrounded the car and were able to free the motorcycle from the vehicle’s front bumper, police said.

Delgado was able to flee the scene before officers arrived, police said.

On Sept. 11, at 2:11 p.m., Delgado was taken into custody after a warrant for his arrest was issued by Milford Superior Court, police said.

Delgado is charged with evading responsibility, failure to obey a control signal and operating a motorcycle without an endorsement, police said.

Delgado was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on Oct. 10, police said.
