Car Catches Fire After Crash Involving Utility Pole In Milford
Power was knocked out in the area following the accident, fire officials said.
MILFORD, CT — A car caught fire after a crash involving a utility pole in Milford on Friday night, according fire officials.
At 8:03 p.m., crews responded to the report of a car fire in front of the fire station on Naugatuck Avenue.
Firefighters found two vehicles had been involved in the crash. One of the car's engines had caught fire and a utility pole had been hit.

One person was taken to a local emergency room for further evaluation.

Power was lost in the area. Naugatuck Avenue was closed while United Illuminating crews restored power and replaced the damaged pole.
