Cops: Alleged Target DVD Thief Found with Ecstasy

Police say a Shelton man who attempted to steal $142 worth of DVDs from the Target on Boston Post Road had ecstasy on him during the alleged heist.

Shawn Dean, 22, was charged with sixth-degree larceny; possession of narcotics; possession of drug paraphernalia; and violation of probation (two counts).

The Shelton man was held in lieu of $10,500 bond, police said Monday.
