Cops: Drunk Driver Crashed Into Tree in Milford

A 20-year-old Milford woman was charged early Sunday with DUI for allegedly driving drunk into a tree.

Police responding to a complaint of a motor vehicle accident on Bonsilene Street at about 6 a.m. Sunday said they found damage to a tree.

The vehicle that allegedly caused the damage was located on Wall Street, police said.

Danielle O’Brien is accused of operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and faces additional charges of evading responsibility, failure to drive right and no insurance.

O’Brien was held in lieu of $500 bond and is due in court July 5.
