Occupation:
For the past 19 years, I have been engaged in the private practice of law in Connecticut. After initially working for a small firm in the Hartford area, I moved to Milford in 2011 and joined my current firm. I am a co-founder, partner and trial attorney at the firm of Rosenberg & Hite, LLC in Stratford. Although my firm practices in a number of areas, I primarily litigate high-value civil matters in state and federal court. This involves appearing in court on a weekly basis for trials and hearings, as well as regularly engaging in high-stakes negotiations, mediations and arbitrations.

Family:
I have been married to my wife for seven years and we have been together for fourteen years. We have a three-year-old son and a five-month-old daughter, as well as a five-year-old dog named Pecan.
Previous public office, appointive or elective:
I am currently serving on the Board of Aldermen.
Why are you seeking this office?
Milford is my home and I want to use the skills I have developed over a nearly twenty-year successful career to improve my community and make it a better place to live for all residents.
I believe in a calm, professional and non-partisan process to solving problems and finding common ground. Civility and patience are key, politics is about solving problems and should not be treated like a team sport.
I also believe in transparency and constantly striving to listen to people’s concerns and putting the well-being of the public over personal or political interests.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Taxes and services. The current administration sharply increased taxes while at the same time slashing funding for the Board of Education and seemingly providing no additional services to taxpayers.
As an Alderman, I will aggressively fight for an efficient, sensible budget that shields taxpayers from the unthinkable burden of another large tax increase while retaining funds for essential services. I will not quietly tolerate any attempts to cut or limit funding to our city’s schools.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
While each candidate has strengths and merits, my unique ability for public speaking, persuasive argument and negotiation under stressful conditions provides the Board of Aldermen with an effective resource.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
I strongly believe that the foundation for a better future Milford is built on exceptional public education and strategic business growth. We need to work aggressively to attract viable businesses to support the city’s economic growth and ease the burden on individual taxpayers. These efforts can help properly fund schools and infrastructure.
My opponents have continually voted against Board of Education funding on the Board of Aldermen and other boards.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
During my career, I have crafted settlements and resolutions totaling many millions of dollars. When diplomacy did not succeed, I have successfully litigated hundreds of matters before judges, mediators, arbitrators and tribunals. Both my firm and I have been recognized on the local, state and national level for our professional accomplishments and service to the community.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Work hard and save your money.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am not a politician. I am a Connecticut native and proud public-school graduate from a middle-class family. I have earned everything I have and thrived on my work-ethic and wits with no connections, nepotism or outside help.
