Firefighters Respond To 2 Vehicle Crash : Milford Fire Dept.
Firefighters had to take extra precautions to mitigate all the hazards, Adam Hansen, Milford Fire Department PIO, said.

MILFORD, CT – An electric car vehicle was involved in a car accident, causing personnel to take extra precautions, Saturday night, Adam Hansen, Milford PIO, said.
On Saturday, Oct. 14, Milford Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-95 Southbound, Hansen said.
When fire personnel arrived, they found two vehicles involved in the accident separated by about 300 to 400 yards, Hansen said.

Firefighters noted one of the vehicles was an electric vehicle, which required extra precautions due to the increased fire hazard and the possibility of electrocution, Hansen said.
Fire personnel worked to disconnect the batteries, according to the manufacturer's recommendations, Hansen said.

All hazards were secured, and the occupants refused transport, Hansen said.
