Fire Contained At New Broad Street Apartments In Milford

MILFORD, CT — Workers helped prevent a fire from spreading at the new Metro Star apartments on Broad Street Tuesday.

Workers reported a possible kitchen fire on the third floor of the under construction apartment building. Firefighters found smoke on the third floor, but no active fire. Crews ventilated the building.

The building is still under construction and the sprinkler system isn't complete, according to Milford Professional Firefighters. The quick action of the workers helped keep the fire from spreading.
