Timing of the rain/storms on Sunday
"Tomorrow is muggier and as a disturbance passes through the region, it will trigger periods of rain and the possibility of storms. The main round arrives late morning and lasts through the early afternoon as it passes across the state," according to WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "A second round, will feature more widely scattered downpours and storms, is expected in the late afternoon and early evening.
Excessive rainfall is a concern
"....It’s important to note that the western half of the state is included in a level 1 risk for excessive rainfall which could leave to some poor drainage flooding in some of the heavier storms that may develop. Temperature-wise, we’re forecasting highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s," according to WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
