Man Stole 18 Tons Of Aluminum From Milford Business, Police Say
A man is facing multiple charges in connection with a commercial burglary and theft, according to police.
MILFORD, CT — A man is accused of stealing about 18 tons of aluminum from a Milford business, according to police.
Police received a report of a burglary and theft of aluminum from Olympic Steel at 1 Eastern Steel Road on Nov. 26.
Police said an investigation found that Eddy Ramirez, 46, of Stratford, entered the building Nov. 25 and stole the roughly 18 tons of aluminum. He sold the materials the following day in Bridgeport, according to police.

Ramirez was charged with two counts of first-degree larceny, two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, two counts of third-degree burglary, and two counts of conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary.
He was held on $100,000 bond and taken to Milford Superior Court on Monday.

Police said two additional burglaries were uncovered in the investigation from September and November in which Ramirez was implicated.
