Milford and the Arts Council Present River Street Wednesdays
River Street Wednesdays will be held every Wednesday at noon on the parkette in front of City Hall until Aug. 26.
The City of Milford and Milford Arts Council announce River Street Wednesdays, which will be held each Wednesday at noon on the parkette in front of City Hall until Aug. 26.
“River Street Wednesdays provides the community an opportunity to connect for a rousing midday downtown,” Mayor Ben Blake said. “We encourage everyone to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy downtown Milford and everything it has to offer.”
The Wednesday events will be complemented by Open Mic Nights July 8 through Aug. 12 at the Milford Arts Council. In the Fall, MAC will feature a Fest on the Green scheduled for Sept. 19. For more information visit their website.

“The events are eclectic and entertaining meant to highlight many of the activities and beauty of Milford, as well as create a community place in the heart of our City,” Paige Miglio, executive director for the Milford Arts Council and Julie Nash, economic and community development director for the City of Milford, the event organizers, said.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair as well as a picnic lunch. The downtown area has a number of restaurants where a bag lunch can be purchased.
