CyberTip From Google Leads To Child Porn Charge, Arrest: Milford PD

A local resident was given a $100,000 bond, and he is charged with first-degree possession of child pornography, police said.

MILFORD, CT — Milford Police said Keith Civitello, 40, was charged on an arrest warrant after a child pornography investigation.

Police officials said an investigation into Civitello was initiated upon receiving a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTip in January 2023.

The CyberTip from Google showed that Civitello had uploaded several images and videos that contained child pornography to Google platforms, police said.

Police executed a search warrant for Civitello’s home on March 23, police said.

Police officials said the search warrant results led to a device containing child pornography. Additional images and videos were also located in cloud-based storage solutions, police said.

Civitello was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography with a $100,000 court-set bond, police said.

Police officials said Civitello could not post his bond and was arraigned in the Milford Superior Court on May 9.
