Milford Man Charged With Stealing High-End Construction Equipment

Officers set up surveillance on a male and observed him enter a restricted construction site by cutting a hole in a fence, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man is accused of stealing high-end construction equipment, police said.

At 5 a.m. Wednesday, officers observed suspicious activity in the parking lot of 86 Plains Road, Aldi’s shopping plaza.

Officers set up surveillance on a male and observed him enter a restricted construction site, by
cutting a hole in the fence, and then remove several high-end pieces of construction equipment, police said.

The male then returned to his vehicle and was taken into custody by the officers, police said.

Dustin Ruocco, 47, of Crawley Avenue, Milford was taken into custody without incident, police said.

Ruocco was charged with:

Burglary 3rd
Larceny 3rd
Criminal Trespass 2nd
Criminal Mischief 3rd

Ruocco was held on a $25,000 bond to appear in Milford Court on November 14, 2018.
