Milford Public Schools Announce Teacher, Paras, Parents Of The Year

MILFORD — School families throughout the district have celebrated their ‘superstars’ for the past few weeks as they announced their Teachers, ParaEducators, and Parents of the Year for 2023. Nominations were solicited in early April, and the honorees were selected at each school in the weeks following.

Beyond the schoolwide honorees, the district selects one winner from each category.

This year, the Districtwide Teacher of the Year is Kelly Jones, a music teacher at Jonathan Law High School.

The Districtwide ParaEducator of the Year is Ellen Connors from West Shore Middle School.

The Districtwide Parent of the Year for Milford is Ashley Grant-Eckhart, representing Joseph A. Foran High School.

All honorees will be celebrated at the district’s End of the Year Celebration on May 22, 2023, at the Parsons Auditorium, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The 2023 teachers of the year are Alesha Hubball (Calf Pen Meadow), Alicia Curria (JFK), Abbey Antrim (Live Oaks), Jennifer Green (Mathewson), Jill Brennan (Meadowside), Sarah Burke (Orange Avenue), Lauren Plourde (Orchard Hills), Jaime McClave (Pumpkin Delight), Chloe Hudd (East Shore), Kristin Norden (Harborside), Ashley Bua (West Shore), Kelly Jones (Jonathan Law HS), and Dawn Davis (Joseph A. Foran, posthumously).

The 2023 ParaEducators of the Year are Alyssa Mucciacciaro (Calf Pen Meadow), Laurie Quinn (JFK), Vanessa Aranda (Live Oaks), Erica Rusch (Mathewson), Laura Everett (Meadowside), Sandra Mixie (Orange Avenue), Tammy Jorgensen (Orchard Hills), Bonnie Feuer (Pumpkin Delight), Mark Germanese (East Shore), Patricia Fike (Harborside), Ellen Connors (West Shore), Monica Bartolomeo (Jonathan Law HS), and Maureen Sheedy (Joseph A. Foran HS).

The 2023 Parents of the Year are Jacqueline Alamo (Calf Pen Meadow), Kate Aldrich (JFK), Michele Moll (Live Oaks), Courtney Pullins (Mathewson), Kristin Magazine (Meadowside), Katina Marrone (Orange Avenue), Tracie Hoey (Orchard Hills), Caraly Schulze (Pumpkin Delight), Shauna Garrison (East Shore), Renee Kugit (Harborside), Jade Ramos (West Shore), Sandra Rodriguez (Jonathan Law HS), and Ashley Grant-Eckhart (Joseph A. Foran HS)
