Milford Ranked Among America's Best Beach Towns: Study

MILFORD, CT — Connecticut's gold coast is home to some of the country's best beachfront real estate, and some of the best beachfront towns. According to a recent study from WalletHub, six of Connecticut's beach towns were named among 227 of the country's best beach towns to live in.

Westport was ranked the highest out of towns from the Nutmeg State, coming in at No. 21. Following Westport came Milford ranked at No. 74. Norwalk(89), Stamford (120), East Haven (130) and New London(164) rounded out Connecticut's representatives.

The personal finance experts from WalletHub compared the communities across six dimensions: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. They then evaluated those dimensions through 49 metrics. To view WalletHub's methodology, click here.

Not surprisingly, many of Connecticut's representatives fell down the list due to low weather scores, with none of the representatives receiving a weather rank above 100. Westport surprisingly received a ranking of 1 in affordability.
