Milford Regional Chamber To Host 'Road Map To Retirement' Forum

On September 15 the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Roadmap to Retirement Forum at the Milford Public Library. The forum is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP), nearly half of men and women between the ages of 55 and 65 have no money saved for retirement. Many experts have stated we are facing a looming retirement crisis and that proper planning is essential for enjoying a healthy retirement.
The panel consists of experts who can answer your questions about planning for retirement.

Shirley Chock, owner of Aiping Tai Chi and co-founder of the New England Asian American Cultural Center will lead off the event with a mindfulness relaxation exercise and then Simon McDonald, membership director of the Milford Regional Chamber, will moderate the event.
The following are panelists for the evening:
Steven L. Rubin, Elder Care Attorney from Drazen Rubin Law will answer questions related to wills, trusts, and estate planning.
Traci O’Brien, co-owner of Senior Insurance Consultants will speak and answer questions about Medicare.
Joy Cheney, of Joy King Insurance, will speak and answer questions about Social Security.
Vince Martino, of Prudential, will speak and answer questions about financial planning for retirement.
