1 Person Trapped After Multi-Vehicle Accident In Milford, Fire Officials Say
An accident Friday morning in Milford that led to a person being hospitalized involved a tractor trailer, a tow truck, and another vehicle.
MILFORD, CT — A multi-vehicle crash led to one person being trapped and a person being hospitalized, according to the Milford Fire Department.
Crews responded at 9:42 a.m. at the Secondi truck stop on Old Gate Lane to a report of an accident involving a tractor trailer, a tow truck, and another vehicle.
Firefighters arrived and found that a person was trapped in the tow truck and needed to be extricated. Firefighters used battery-powered tools to open the driver's door so that medical care could be provided.

Three people were evaluated for injuries at the scene of the accident. One of them was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The fire department's hazardous materials crew also responded to deal with fluid leaks from the vehicles.

About 20 gallons of various fluids had leaked. No waterways were affected, fire officials said.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was notified of the spill.
Old Gate Lane was temporarily closed due to the accident but is now open for normal traffic.
