MILFORD, CT — MilfordEd Advocates thanked the Board of Aldermen and the community support after the Board of Aldermen approved restoring $1.65 million into Milford’s Department of Education budget.

“Thank you to the Board of Aldermen for doing your due diligence and listening to the concerns raised by parents, grandparents, business owners and residents across Milford. We were pleased to have bipartisan and unanimous support for Milford schools,” Kara Flannery said, Milford Ed Advocates. “We appreciate Superintendent of Schools Dr. Anna Cutaia’s leadership, vision, and the Board of Education for championing our schools.”

MilfordEd Advocates said over the last two months, residents, parents and business owners united to stand with Cutaia and the Board of Education.

“This is just a start. We’ve made many new connections with neighbors who care deeply about these issues,” Flannery said. “We are grateful to All In for Milford, the Milford PTA Council and many others who shared information about this crisis. We see this as an opportunity to build sustained public engagement with Milford’s budget process, especially around education.”
