Obituary: Albert F. Van Wagner, 94, of Milford
Albert proudly served in the United States Navy and worked for the Milford Board of Education for over 40 years.
MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Albert F. Van Wagner, 94, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Elaine Van Wagner, passed away March 24, 2021.
Albert was born on January 23, 1927 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Frank and Mildred Van Wagner.
Albert proudly served his country in the United States Navy and received an Honorable Discharge, enabling him to be awarded full Military Funeral Honors.

He worked for the Milford Board of Education for over 40 years. After retirement, Albert and Elaine had many adventures traveling around the country.
They were both long time parishioners of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Milford. Albert enjoyed hunting, woodworking, puzzles and western movies.

Albert leaves behind his daughter, Cherilyn Rein; grandchildren, Robin Rein and John J. Rein, Jr.; step daughters, Patricia Dwinel (husband Roy) and Ann Bartone (husband Andy); step granddaughters, Anne Kane (wife Kristen) and Frankie Jo Maulucci; and step great granddaughters, Ashley Lankton and Edie Kane.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Agnes Van Wagner; and son-in-law, John J. Rein, Sr.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a walk-through wake on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
Due to size gathering restrictions, a limited number of people will be allowed in the building at one time; masks and social distancing will be required. Interment will be private.
