David Phillip Wanciak, 71, of Milford, beloved husband of 27 years to Linda Boczer Wanciak, passed away at Bridgeport Hospital on October 7, 2023.
Born on March 6, 1952, in Derby, he was the son of the late Phillip Wanciak and Sophie Mozelak Wanciak.

In addition to his wife, David leaves behind his sons, David Kenneth (Andrea) and Kevin Wanciak; granddaughter, Kyra; siblings, Randy Wanciak of PA and Melanie Balint of Wallingford; nephews, Brian (Mary), Rick, and Dylan; nieces, Kati, Vanessa, and Hannah; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Richard) Milewski and Patricia Boczer; as well as many cousins, great grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Katharine Donnelly Sperling.
David was a proud graduate of Seymour High School and began his career not long after at BIC Corporation, where he dedicated an astounding 52 years.

David's commitment to his work extended beyond his job description; he proudly served as a union president, advocating for the rights and well-being of his fellow employees.
He was an avid New York Giants and UCONN Huskies fan and had a soft spot for dogs, especially his faithful companions, Buster and Pepper, who were there to greet him when he left this life.
David leaves behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and compassion that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street.
The interment will be private. In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Humane Society.
