Obituary: Elda Julian Wierzbicki, 97, of Milford

Elda, known to all as "Nonnie", worked as a waitress at Lasses Restaurant for 35 years and truly cherished spending time with loved ones.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Elda Julian Wierzbicki, 97, of Milford, passed on December 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 11, 1924, in Highland Falls, NY to the late Biagio and Guiditta Julian.

Elda spent most of her adult life in Milford after meeting her husband on a summer vacation at Walnut beach. She worked as a waitress at Lasses Restaurant for 35 years, raised five wonderful children, which gave her 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grands.

Known to all as “Nonnie” - because she was Everyone’s “Nonnie”.

All that knew Elda loved her – especially her family. She was devoted to her family and blessed each one of them with her unconditional love and wisdom. She was the heart of the family and memories of her will be cherished forever. She touched the lives of many and changed the lives of those she held most dear.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Judith Green, Marie Vaughn, Johnette DeEll (Bill), Alexis Black (Bob), Sarah Wierzbicki (Daughter in law). She Loved her Grandchildren and was so proud of all of them, Jamie DeEll (Miran), Jeff DeEll ( Janet), Raymond Danz (Angela), Shilo Perry, Amanda Broccoli (Peter), Tara DeEll, Robbie Black (Courtney), Katie Goncalves (Chris), Jessica Wierzbicki, Kellie Wierzbicki and Kaycee Clapp.

She adored her great-grandchildren, Justin, Julia, Jenna, Brodie and Trevor DeEll, Tyler Linkous, Kyle Perry, Samantha Goldsmith, Cory Danz, Aurora, Roslin and Robbie Black, Caeden Broccoli, Parker John Cornman, and Skylar, Hallie DeEll; and her great-great grandchildren, Kaydyn, Mackenzie and Elizabeth Linkous, and Halley and Skye Perry.

She loved and appreciated all of her special friends, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, John N. Wierzbicki, her son, John A. Wierzbicki, and her grandson, Michael William DeEll.

Friends and family may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Gabriel Church (Saint Raphael Parish) 26 Broadway, Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH).

Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford, CT.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
