Obituary: Frances Angelina Posta, 85, of Milford
Frances, a big Jai Alai fan, cherished time with loved ones, worked for the Burndy Corporation as an assembler and at the Milford Fronton.
MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Frances Angelina Posta, 85, of Milford, passed away on November 1, 2021. Born on July 22, 1936 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Theresa (Cortellesa) Silvaggio.
Frances grew up in the Federal Hill section of Providence along with 4 siblings and 3 half siblings.
She met her future husband Joe through a sister, married and settled in Milford CT.
She worked in the 1960’s and 70’s at Burndy Corporation in Milford as an assembler. Frances was a big Jai Alai fan and worked part time at the Milford Fronton.
Frances is survived by her children, Debra (Keith) Johnson, and Joseph (Linda) Posta; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her sister, Marie Gendron; a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
Frances was predeceased by 6 siblings.
All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice, Middlebury CT.
