Obituary: Genevieve "Gene" M. Mieczkowski, 92, of Milford

MILFORD, CT - (From Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home) Genevieve M. Mieczkowski, age 92, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Stanley “Mickey” Mieczkowski, died on Saturday, April 24, 2021 in West Haven.

Gene was born in Bridgeport on March 17, 1929 to the late Stanley and Sophia Bednarz Jerzyk.

She was a longtime Milford resident and a member of the Milford Senior Center.

She was an active parishioner of Saint Ann Church and their 50 + Club as well as a member of the West Shore Seniors. Survivors include her children: Sharon Adam (Joseph) of West Haven and Sandra Phaneuf (Brett) of MA, three grandchildren, Allen Adam, and Matthew and Michelle Phaneuf, sister, Helen Paul of Derby and several nieces and nephews.

Gene is predeceased by her son, Alan Mieczkowski, three brothers and two sisters. Friends and Family may call on Thursday, April 29th from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Ann Church (Saint Raphael Parish) followed by interment in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford.
