Obituary: Harriet E. Jacobs, 93, of Milford
Harriet, an avid music enthusiast and talented violinist, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
MILFORD, CT - (From Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home) Harriet E. Jacobs, age 93, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Malcolm I. Jacobs, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Wallingford.
Harriet was born in Caswell, Maine on December 19, 1927 to the late Basil and Elizabeth McDougal Hardgrove.
She was a lover of music and a talented violinist. She enjoyed baking and traveling with Mac along the eastern seaboard in their RV during their retirement years.
Survivors include her children: Karla Blake (Douglas) of Orange, Holly Jacobs (Joe) of Shelton and Sandra Osterland of Camphill, PA, brother, Dee Hardgrove of Maine and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Harriet is predeceased by her son, Timothy Jacobs and eight siblings: Leonard, Dale and Phil Hardgrove, Beatrice Nadeau, Flora Andrews, Esther Corbin, Thelma Chapman and Ella Giggey.
A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 27th at 11:00 a.m. in Kings Highway cemetery, Milford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
