Obituary: June (LaBarba) Capoccitti, 87, of Milford
June, a loving homemaker known for her delicious Italian meals, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) June (LaBarba) Capoccitti, 87, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2021. June was born in Bridgeport to the late Anthony and Theda (Deyo) LaBarba of Bridgeport. June was a long-time resident of Milford.
She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, John F. Capoccitti.
June was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loving homemaker who thoroughly enjoyed cooking excellent Italian meals for her family.
June also worked briefly in various jobs at General Electric in Bridgeport & at The Bridgeport Chain Company.
She is survived by her three sons, John V. Capoccitti of CT, David F. (Joni) Capoccitti of Florida, and Richard L. (Nicole) Capoccitti of NY; five grandchildren, Jeremy Russell (pre-deceased), Nicole (Patrick) Figiel, Lauren (Ryan) Bohlender, Catarina Capoccitti, Angelina Capoccitti; two great grandchildren, Colin Russell, Chase Russell; her siblings Nancy (Mickey) Mastroni, Patty Nemergut, Lawrence (Diane) LaBarba, Vincent (Michelle) LaBarba, Rose Stabile, Lorraine (George) Wadolowski and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Anthony LaBarba, Louis LaBarba, Robert LaBarba, and Ronald LaBarba, her brother-in-law Alfred Stabile, and brother-in-law John Nemergut.
June’s family would like to extend special thanks to her neighbors, Eileen Casey & “Butch” Parmalee, for all the kindness and assistance they provided June over the years.
The family would also like to thank the in-home caregivers for their compassionate care of June over the past few months.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Cody White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Mary's Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St., Milford, at 10:30 a.m. that morning. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vitas Community Connection, 199 Park Road Ext., Suite 102, Middlebury, CT 06762 or online. Donations may also be made to any Veterans cause.
