Obituary: Laurent Romeo Richard, 89, of Milford

MILFORD, CT - (From Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home) Laurent Romeo Richard, age 89, beloved husband of 40 years to Lorraine (Wild) Richard of Milford, entered peaceful rest on February 25, 2021 at Bridgeport Hospital.

He was the son of the late William and Nellie (Simond) Richard and was born on June 22, 1931 in Lewiston, Maine.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a machinist for Plastic Tool System and later delivery driver for Napa Auto Parts.

Laurent enjoyed his trips to the casino with Lorraine and loved his sweets, with a daily Klondike Bar and was never without a cookie in hand. He was an avid NY Jets fan.

In addition to his devoted wife, he leaves his children, Bill Richard (Sarah) of Blackrock, CT, Ellen Richard of Dana Point, CA, Mary Richard (Joey Gloria) of Stratford, Doreen Hoyt (Beth Holly) of West Haven, Lisa Carlson of Stratford and Michelle Pabis (Rich) of New Britain and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He also leaves his sister, Betty Baillargeon of Maine and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
