Stephen Vargoshe, 87, beloved husband of Pauline Vargoshe, passed away on May 9, 2023. Born on May 16, 1935, in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Stephen and Anna Vargoshe.
Steve is a proud veteran of the US Navy, having served as a Radioman on the USS Cotton Destroyer during the Korean War. He graduated from Bullard Havens Technical School and CT School of Electronics.

His career path echoed his love for country, having worked on missile installations and as a technical writer at Sikorsky Aircraft. Family and friends will miss his caring and loving spirit.
He is survived by his beautiful wife, Pauline, their loving daughter, Cindy (Vargoshe) Vassilowitch and Steve Cooper. He leaves behind the apple of his eye, granddaughter Ashley Vassilowitch and Coury Brown. He will rest eternally with his late grandson, Jonathan Vassilowitch. He is also predeceased by his brother, John (Skip) and Eleanor Vargoshe, his sister Ethel and Pete Apatow and his nephew Peter Apatow. He is survived by his nephew, John, and wife, Louise Vargoshe, and nieces, Ruth Secchiaroli and Ann Apatow. His furry buddies, Marley and Sheba, already miss him.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Rd. in Woodbridge, Conn.
Interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St. in Milford.
In honor of Stephen, donations may be made to the following charities dear to him: Covenant House, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and ASPCA.
