Obituary: Victoria M. Kolcun, 95, of Milford

MILFORD, CT - (From Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home) Victoria M. Kolcun, age 95, of Milford, beloved wife of the late John Kolcun, died on March 19, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Victoria was born in Bridgeport on March 14, 1926 to the late Aniello and Ermelinda Calogero Rodia.

After retiring from the sales department at Consumers Petroleum, Vicky devoted her life to spending time with her family.

GG, as she was known to her family, was a frequent spectator at her grandchildren’s sporting events, and never missed a chance to take a trip with her daughters and their families.

She had a smile that could light up a room, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Survivors include her children: Deborah Giannini (Duane) of Newtown and Joan Krusinski (Richard) of Milford, six grandchildren; Amy Lyddy (Ryan), Alison Farrell (David), Amanda Caparosa (James), Melissa Goncalves (John), Megan Embler (Justin) and John Krusinski, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Victoria is predeceased by her four brothers: Daniel, Alfred, Ralph and Anthony Rodia and five sisters, Phyllis, Angelina, Jane, Josephine and Mildred. Services will be held in private.
