William L. Apfel, 68, of Hanson, MA, formerly of Milford, CT, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Troy, NY and was the son of the late Emil and Jeanne (Beaudin) Apfel.

Bill was raised in Trumbull, CT. He attended Hudson Valley Community College and received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. He was a driven professional, enjoyed outdoor activities, working in his yard and was an avid NY sports fan.

Bill is survived by his beloved children, Kristin Mahoney and her husband Chris of Missouri City, TX, Matthew Apfel and his wife Christina of Hanover and Melissa Apfel of Holbrook; former wife Joan Apfel of Hanson who lovingly cared for him during his illness; brother Fred Apfel of FL; and his cherished grandchildren, Ryan and John Mahoney, Matty and Daniella Apfel.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
