Milford Adult Education Enrichment Courses

Have you always wanted to try ceramics? Or maybe you want to learn how to prepare a luscious charcuterie board? Maybe you’ve wanted to learn a new language – or sit for a lesson about retirement planning? With more than 90 classes offered for Fall 2022, there’s truly ‘something for everyone.’ Course catalogs were mailed recently to every home in Milford, with course descriptions and registration fees. The full catalog is also available online at https://www.milforded.org/page/adult-education.

The Adult Ed program follows a rolling enrollment concept, so individuals may sign up for courses at any time – but we recommend people register as early as possible, since class limits are in place for many courses.

We are pleased to announce there are several new courses offered in our fall lineup, including Basketweaving, Presentation Skills Improvement (good for job seekers!), and Milford’s Role in the American Revolution.

The majority of our courses this Fall will be offered at Joseph A. Foran High School. A small number of courses will be held at an alternate location and are noted in the catalog. Online registration is available and credit/debit cards are accepted for payment. You may opt to complete the paper registration form and mail it to the Adult Education office (70 West River Street, Milford, CT 06460) with a check for your selected courses.

Bright Futures Ahead: Building Your Academic Skills

In addition to the dozens of enrichment courses offered, Milford Adult Education also offers a robust academic skills program giving residents the chance to complete their high school diploma, improve their English speaking and writing skills, or to prepare for becoming a U.S. citizen. All academic courses are offered free of charge to applicants. Daytime and evening classes are available. To get started, contact our office at (203) 783-3461.

Whether you are interested in the enrichment program or the academic skills program, we are pleased to offer you this wonderful opportunity to learn something new, make new friends and have some fun! If you have any questions, please contact Meredith Toth in our Milford Adult Education office at (203) 783-3461.

We hope you join us this Fall and look forward to meeting you!
