"Tonight, cloud cover increases in advance of some wet weather as we close out the work week. At the onset, around daybreak tomorrow, some snow/freezing rain could mix in across the Litchfield Hills and in other parts of the state away from the shoreline," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "That’s why we’ve declared tomorrow morning a First Alert Weather Day… otherwise, it’s periods of rain throughout the day with highs near 40. This round is certainly beneficial given our current drought situation. As of now, we’re expecting about a half inch of rain for most of the state. After sunset Friday, the rain could briefly switch to snow before ending. We’re not anticipating any notable accumulation or impact."

"Saturday will be bright, but breezy. While temps will be seasonable, peaking in the mid-30s, the wind will make it feel a bit chillier. Sunday now looks dry. We’ll start out bright, then see increasing cloudiness as the day progresses. Temps will be up a degree or two, compared to Saturday. Sunday night, there’s a low end chance for isolated rain or snow showers as a warm front heads our way," added WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
