Special Weather Statement Issued For Southern CT Sunday: Here's What To Know
A special weather statement has just been issued by the National Weather Service for coastal sections of southern Connecticut.

COASTAL SECTIONS OF SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement Sunday morning for pockets of patchy freezing rain.
"Northeast winds have helped to maintain enough cold air this morning with pockets of freezing rain. While any additional ice accretion is expected light, it will still pose a hazard, especially on untreated roadways and walkways. If venturing out, use caution and if driving, leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you," according to the weather service's special weather statement.
A wind advisory has also been issued. West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
