State Rep. Kim Rose Tours Beth-El Center

Beth-El Center is a homeless shelter and food service program servicing families in Milford.

From The Office of Kim Rose: State Representative Kim Rose announced that she toured the Beth-El Center facility and met with Toni Dolan, Executive Director of the Beth-El Center to learn more about the services they provide to residents in Milford and to explore ways the state can support the center’s goals.

Beth-El Center is a homeless shelter and food service program servicing families in Milford, including those who reside in the supportive housing development located at 85 New Haven Avenue also known as Liberty Pointe.

“I am grateful to Beth-El for allowing me to visit and tour their facility and spend time learning about the critical services they provide in our community,’ Rep. Rose said. “At times like this, when we are facing tough fiscal decisions across the state, it’s important to have as much information available to prioritize our agenda.”

Some of the additional services provided by the center include a soup kitchen that offers nutritious meals to residents in need and the Meals to Go program.

Additionally, the center focuses on assisting homeless individuals to achieve independence.

Rep. Rose said, “The work this organization does is extraordinary. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the facility and the welcoming environment provided to their clients and families. I am committed to keep fighting for our community and to help find solutions for the challenges we face.”

Rep. Kim Rose is serving her fourth legislative term in the CT General Assembly, representing Milford’s 118th District.
