Vehicle Crashes Into Downtown Milford Storefront: Milford Fire Dept.

MILFORD, CT — A vehicle crashed into a vacant storefront in Downtown Milford Wednesday afternoon, Adam Hansen, Milford Fire Department PIO, said.
On Wednesday, Sept. 7, around 4:48 p.m., the Emergency Operations Center received a 911 call reporting a vehicle had crashed into a commercial storefront at #12 Daniel Street, Hansen said.
When fire companies arrived, they found a single passenger-style vehicle that had struck the front of a vacant storefront, Hansen said.

The occupant of the vehicle had no complaints of any injuries and refused care/transport, Hansen said.
Damage was sustained to the building, and the structural stability was compromised, Hansen said.

Fire personnel worked through the elevated temperatures while they stabilized the structure by shoring up the structural members, Hansen said.
There were no personal reported injuries, and the building was secured, Hansen said.
