Walnut Beach Little Library Reopens
Grab a book and leave another at the restored location.

MILFORD, CT — The little library at Walnut Beach at 81 Naugatuck Ave. has reopened after a 4-month hiatus. The new library is stocked with books and ready to serve the community.
The previous library was taken down due to age and safety concerns. America by Amish artisans constructed the new library out of plastic lumber made from recycled milk jugs, which should withstand the harsh shoreline conditions.
The little library follows the concept of "take a book, leave a book." Friends of the Milford Public Library oversees and checks the stock of books. There is also another little library at the Milford YMCA near the soccer fields. The little library at Gulf Beach is season and will reopen in the spring.
