18 Bags Of PCP Seized After Monroe Crash: Police

Police say the accused crashed his vehicle into a stone wall on Hattertown Road.

MONROE, CT — A Danbury man was arrested on drug charges after police say he crashed into a stone wall on Hattertown Road. Lavon Brigman, 43, was found with 18 bags of PCP following his arrest Thursday.

Police say Brigman crashed into the stone wall at 8:48 p.m. and did not know he had been in an accident. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane.

After he was arrested, police found the PCP in his possession.

According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), the drug is found in a white crystalline powder and is easily dissolved in water or alcohol. The drug results in psychological dependence, craving and compulsive behavior.

The DOJ says PCP users can become violent or suicidal under the influence of the drug.

Brigman was charged with possession of hallucinogens and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was released after posting a $6,000 bond.
