The holiday season is filled with joy, lights and celebration — but for some families, it can also bring stress and financial strain. Thankfully, communities like ours step up each year to help make the season brighter for every child.

Here are some places in and around Monroe, where you can donate toys, gift cards or holiday essentials to support kids and families in need this year. Be sure to reach out directly to each organization to confirm drop-off hours, deadlines and specific items they’re requesting — most drives ask for new, unwrapped gifts.


City of Bridgeport Food & Toy Drive

🎁Accepts new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items.
📍Drop-off location: 350 Bishop Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06610
📅 Donation deadline is Dec. 15; perishable items deadline is Dec. 19.

Family Centers Holiday Toy Chest

🎁Accepts new, unwrapped toy donations (including items from their wishlist or Amazon Wishlist shipped directly to Family Centers) and monetary contributions used to purchase toys for children across Fairfield County.

🎁This toy drive is accepting new, unwrapped toys for children ages 3–5.
