Another Fire Reported In Monroe, Fire Officials Say

This was the six house fire in Monroe during the past 7 weeks, officials said.

MONROE, CT — The Monroe Volunteer Fire Department, No.1 Inc. said volunteer firefighters were called to Webb Circle for a bedroom fire just before 9 a.m. Saturday. Crews quickly contained the fire to an upstairs bedroom and no one was injured.

Stevenson, Monroe and White Hills firefighters operated on scene while Stepney FD provided townwide coverage.

"The cause is believed to be accidental and remains under investigation by the Monroe Fire Marshal. The residents were displaced and there were no working smoke alarms. This was the 6th house fire in Monroe during the past 7 weeks," officials said in a social media post.
