Big Lottery Prize Sold In Monroe

MONROE, CT — A winning scratch ticket worth $20,000 was recently sold in Monroe, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

A Newtown resident won $20,000 on a 20X Cash 9th Edition scratch ticket that was sold at Cumberland Farms at 455 Main St. in Monroe, according to Lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
