MONROE, CT — The distribution of coronavirus test kits scheduled for Thursday in Monroe has been postponed, officials announced. A makeup date has not yet been determined.

"During a press conference this evening, the Governor advised that the COVID-19 rapid test kits have not arrived and that the State continues to work on obtaining tests for public distribution," First Selectman Ken Kellogg said in a statement Thursday evening. "Furthermore, while it was reported that the State began to deliver masks to municipalities today, we have not yet received a shipment. Our understanding is that very few towns in our area have reported receiving their shipment today.

"The Monroe Emergency Management Team stands ready to receive and distribute test kits and masks once they have been received from the State. We will provide more information once these supplies are available."
