Details Of Masuk Football Coach's Reinstatement Released: Report
The school board recently voted to reinstate football coach Steve Christy, who had been on administrative leave for six months.

MONROE, CT — The Board of Education recently voted to reinstate Masuk's head football coach Steve Christy, who had been on administrative leave for six months pending an investigation into the program.
The terms of the reinstatement were not available at the time of the school board meeting, but the Monroe Sun obtained the full report via Freedom of Information request.
As part of the agreement to reinstate Christy, it included that he submit a letter that he will retire following the 2024 football season, the Monroe Sun reported. Christy told the Monroe Sun he had planned to retire after one more year, and it was his decision and not the school board's to retire after the 2024 season.

The agreement between Christy and the school board includes several other conditions for reinstatement, including training and details on how injuries are reported, the Monroe Sun reported.
