The neighbor suggested using a sauce, Ah So. It is readily available in most food markets. I bought some and also bought some ribs. The result was very disappointing. The ribs were not very flavoreable. They were big and fatty and had lots of burned spots. I then tried several different ways.
I buy the small, baby back ribs. I am sure that lots of places sell them. I get mine at Butcher's Best in Newtown. The trick is not to follow the directions on the Ah So bottle. It calls for cooking at 350 degrees. That's way too hot and ends up with ribs that are burnt all over. Here's what I do. I first, preheat the to 275 degrees. While waiting for the oven to get to temperature I cut up the ribs to individual ribs. Then, using a basting brush, I completely cover each rib with the Ah So. I then place the ribs, on a cookie sheet that has been rubbed with Canola Oil. I coke the ribs for about 2 hours. I usually serve the ribs with purchased fried rice or a tasty home cooked rice. Today's dinner was really excellent.
