Ilona Gaal, 79, of Monroe, Passed Away

MONROE, CT — Ilona Gaal, age 79, of Monroe, beloved wife to the late Laszlo Gaal, entered into eternal life on Friday, December 2, 2016. Ilona was born in Szentgothard, Hungary to the late Istvan and Jolan Pek Holecz. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for RBC Heim Bearings as a marker inspector. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of St. Emery Church in Fairfield and belonged to the senior center in Monroe.

Ilona will be lovingly remembered by her son, Laszlo Gaal, and his wife, Ellen, of Colorado Springs, CO and a daughter, Mary Ann Gaal and her husband, Garry Page, of Keene, NH; a granddaughter, Nicole Gaal-Jordan, and her husband, Michael; a great granddaughter, Zoey Jordan; sisters, Piroska Mencseli and her husband, Laszlo, of Fairfield, Elizabeth Henn, and her husband, Andrew, of Monroe, Jolan Henn, and her husband, Stephen, of Monroe.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:15 AM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center and 11 AM at St. Emery Church, Fairfield. Her entombment will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
