Improvements To Pepper Street In Monroe Continue Monday

The road is in the midst of a $7 million reconstruction project.

MONROE, CT — Construction work will continue Monday on Pepper Street in Monroe, which will result in some lane closures and traffic delays, according to officials.

The work, which will run from Monday through March 20, is concentrated on utilities, and it will run along Pepper Street from Grant Road to the north end of Route 25.

Monroe is spending more than $7 million on the improvement project, and most of the funding is coming from state and federal grants, according to officials.
