July 4th Fireworks 2022 Near Monroe

MONROE, CT — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Monroe so you can start planning now.

July 4th Festivities:

What: Stratford's annual Independence Day Fireworks display

Where: Short Beach

When: The display will begin at sundown, approximately 9 p.m. The rain date will be July 5.


What: Fireworks & Concert at HPCC in Orange

Where: 525 Orange Center Road

When: July 9


What: Trumbull Day 2022, a fun-filled family event with food, vendors, carnival rides and games, children's entertainment, a main stage featuring local bands and fireworks.

Where: The field behind Hillcrest Middle School, 530 Daniels Farm Road

When: The event begins July 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and continues on July 2, from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., closing with a fireworks display.


What: The Danbury Volunteer Fire Department will be sponsoring the city's annual Independence Day fireworks display.

Where: Candlewood Lake

When: Fireworks will commence at dusk on June 25. Rain date is June 26.


What: Fairfield County Bank is sponsoring fireworks in Ridgefield on July 9.

Where: Ridgefield High School, 700 North Salem Road. Parking passes are $20 per car, and available at Town Hall, Fairfield County Bank and online here.

When: July 9. Gates open at 6 p.m.


What: More fireworks! The Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department will conclude its annual carnival with a pyrotechnics display on Saturday night.

Where: East Ridge Middle School Field, at 10 East Ridge Road.

When: The carnival runs June 22-25, from 6-10 p.m., with fireworks launching at dusk on June 25. Fireworks will be visible from anywhere near the carnival grounds.


What: The Redding Historical Society's 6th Annual Redding Rock'n Roots Revival and Fireworks Show

Where: Lonetown Farm, 43 Lonetown Road, Redding

When: June 25. Live music starts at 4 p.m., fireworks at 9:00 p.m. Rain date is June 26.


What: Weston's Family 4th Celebration, presented by Weston Parks & Recreation and Fairfield County Bank

Where: Weston Middle School, 135 School Road, Weston

When: July 4. Weston Middle School gates open at 4:30 p.m. There will be no entry from Lords Highway after 7:00 p.m. Organizers are encouraging residents to arrive before 8:00 p.m. to avoid the fireworks traffic rush.
